Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science

The Ralph T. Reeve Chair of Free Enterprise, established in 1974 to honor Dr. Reeve, is funded by corporations and individuals concerned about the future of American free enterprise.

The James L. “Bud” Walton Chair of Retailing was established in 1992 to honor Bud Walton for his strong support of the College of the Ozarks and his leadership in the American free enterprise system.

The objectives of the Business Administration major are to 1) understand the role of business as a major institution in society; 2) develop skills necessary to function as a productive member of a business organization; 3) strengthen the ability to learn from and adapt to a changing social, technological and economic environment; 4) develop and integrate a Christian world-view in conjunction with the goals (academic, vocational, patriotic, cultural) of College of the Ozarks.

Majors are expected to participate in assessments administered by the Business Administration Department.

General Business Emphasis:


Required major courses: 36 credit hours


 BUS core courses (24 credit hours)

Four courses (300-400 level) from the following: 12 credit hours


  • Business Administration (BUS)
  • Economics (ECN)
  • Marketing (MKT)
