CSC 423 - E-Commerce Systems

Prerequisites: CSC 343 and CSC 123 (or a score of 80% or higher on the Fundamentals of Web Design proficiency test). This course is an introduction to the key concepts of developing business applications for the World Wide Web. The course will examine the applicability of e-commerce to business as well as societal and legal implications and considerations of web site development and deployment. The course will include hands-on experience in the areas of the extendable hypertext markup language (XHTML) within the Microsoft.Net framework, Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Microsoft Visual Studio or IBM WebSphere.
