General Information:

Multi-disciplinary in scope and purpose, the Child Studies major provides the student with a broad-based understanding of children from the context of development, nutrition, education, family dynamics, psychology, and social services, all from a Biblically-informed worldview. This major offers a strong foundation for students pursuing careers in child advocacy and welfare, education, infant and childcare programs, public policy, ministry, youth programming, and social services.
Major Requirements: 36 credit hours
Required major courses: 24 credit hours
One of the following: Applied elective: 3 credit hours
One of the following: Developmental elective: 3 credit hours
One of the following: Theory elective: 3 credit hours
One of the following: Practical elective: 3 credit hours
