General Information:
Bachelor of Science The objectives of the computer science and computer information science majors are that students will: - acquire the computational and analytical skills required to apply for and complete graduate school, in the context of a broad, liberal arts education (Academic);
- develop a strong work ethic to use effectively the computational and analytical skills expected within the scientific and business computer industry (Vocational);
- address ethical and societal issues affecting the computing field from a Christian worldview (Christian);
- develop an appreciation for and love of their country and the opportunities it provides (Patriotic);
- value excellence and the setting of high personal standards for the quality of their work (Cultural).
Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in upper division computer science courses to graduate with a major in computer science or computer information science. Cross majors/minors between computer science and computer information science are not permitted. Computer Information Science Major Requirements: 48 credit hours
General Education Courses Specified by Major:
Required Major Courses: 30 credit hours
Required Collateral Courses: 18 credit hours
