Attendance Policy

Attendance Expectations

The College places a high priority on punctuality and attendance expectations. Every student is expected to fulfill his/her commitment to attend class and work, regardless of day or time. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.

Officially Excused Absences

Students will be responsible to communicate all absences to their professor(s) and/or work supervisor(s). Excused absences are granted for students participating in officially sanctioned College activities or death in the family absences. The names of students who are frequently absent from classes and/or work will be reported to the respective administrative office(s). Continued absenteeism or substandard performance may constitute grounds for dismissal.

Medical Related Absence

The student is responsible to communicate all medical related absences with their professor(s) and/or work supervisor(s).  The Armstrong McDonald Clinic does not provide routine written medical excuses for short-term absences from class or work due to illness or injury.
