This course examines the intersection of faith and virtue in American civic life, with a special emphasis on the importance of virtuous citizenship. Throughout the course, students will wrestle with the implications of virtuous citizenship as a fundamental expectation for America’s constitutional democracy and how this expectation manifests itself in contemporary American life (i.e., local, state and national).
