MUE 161 - Jazz Band-Maj

The Jazz Band is an auditioned ensemble with limited instrumentation. It is for students who have a desire to study a wide variety of music originally composed for traditional big band instrumentation. Performances are on and off campus.

Ensembles are open to all qualified students in the College and may be repeated for credit. Freshmen and Sophomores enroll in the 100 level courses. Juniors and Seniors enroll in 300 level courses. MUE credits may be used to satisfy G.E. requirements. Five of the ensembles are designated major performing ensembles (Maj). Participation in Major ensembles is required for practicum credit.
