General Information:


Nathan Roberts, advisor

Students graduating with a degree in Conservation and wildlife management at the College of the Ozarks will:

  • Develop an understanding of the breadth of content that underlies the management of natural resources and recognize the role of science in guiding the application of this content to wildlife and natural resource-related analysis and decision making (Academic);
  • Demonstrate a commitment to learning the tools and techniques used in conserving natural resources and managing wildlife by engaging in professionally-relevant events and activities (Vocational);
  • Become a protector of that which is wild by promoting an understanding and appreciation for the North American model of wildlife management (Patriotic);
  • Develop an understanding of historical attitudes toward nature in the United States and the significant persons who played a role in shaping modern society’s perspectives regarding nature and man’s position in the natural world (Cultural);
  • Develop a perspective of the earth as belonging to God and see oneself as a steward in protecting the earth’s beauty and bounty (Christian).

Conservation and Wildlife Management Major Requirements: 61 credit hours
