Christian Mission Minor - Biblical and Theological Studies Emphasis

Required minor core courses: 12 credit hours

• BTS 213 - Christianity in a Pluralistic World
• BTS 223 - Motivation for Christian Mission
• BTS 333 - History of the Christian Church
• SPC 303 - Intercultural Communication

Biblical and Theological Studies Emphasis: 7-9 credit hours

• BTS 48V - Biblical and Theological Studies Internships
• Maximum number of internship hours for minor is 1-3 credits.

Required collateral course:

• FAM 103 - Introduction to Sociology

Note:

Students with this minor are encouraged to take at least two semesters of foreign language study.

Students majoring or minoring in Biblical and Theological Studies or minoring in Christian Ministry cannot take this minor. However, if a student majoring in Biblical and Theological Studies completes the required courses for the minor, the transcript will indicate a “Christian Mission Emphasis” as part of their major. Also, students can receive credit for no more than one emphasis in the Christian Mission Minor.

The internship portion of the Christian Mission minor must be completed without withdrawing from the College. Internships requiring students to relocate during the fall and/or spring semester(s) will not be approved.
