General Information:
Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science
The objectives for the major in Biblical and Theological Studies are that students will: 1) demonstrate understanding of the historical, literary and theological dimensions of the Old and New Testaments, and the ability to apply sound methodology to the interpretation of these texts; 2) exhibit awareness of major themes in biblical and systematic theology; 3) exhibit awareness of the key figures and broad outline of the history of the Christian church; 4) exhibit awareness of the major thinkers and themes in western philosophy; 5) exhibit awareness of the major thinkers and themes in the study of ethics. Requirements:
Required core courses for all Biblical and Theological Studies majors: 21 credit hours
Christian Apologetics Emphasis:
Required major courses: 36 credit hours
General Education courses specified by major: 6 credit hours
Required collateral courses: 6 credit hours
